When we decided to create the Caribbean Collection , we had many doubts about the best way to do it. It not only involved imagining unique pieces that represented that place that has so deeply influenced those of us who founded ráfega , without losing the essence of the Mediterranean, but it also meant going there and showing our clients that magic firsthand.
ráfega was born just under two years ago, but that didn't stop us from taking risks and making our dreams bigger. With the designs ready, we decided that in November 2025 (yes, collections take a long time to reach you) we would take a plane to paradise: Cartagena de Indias.
There were three of us, three suitcases, and a camera. And, of course, all the excitement of photographing in Colombia, the country we come from. During an intense weekend, we returned to one of our homes (our main one is still Barcelona) and sought out the most beautiful spots, those that would highlight the effort behind each design and the craftsmanship of those who carve them.
From 5:00 to 11:00 in the morning, during the gentlest part of the day, we wandered the colonial streets, which at that hour felt quiet and peaceful. We encountered kind people who agreed to pose with us and curious onlookers who glanced at our fans. Then came rest, lunch, and at 5:30, we set out again to chase that elusive sunset, searching for the best light to capture the essence of the collection.
We're sharing all this with you because we love involving you in the creative process at ráfega , sharing in detail how we think about each decision. Ultimately, the effort is worthwhile when the fan reaches your hands and you appreciate it for what it is: a unique, unrepeatable, handmade piece with a rich history and tradition behind it. In this case, the story of two places that meet.
