A year of ràfega
When we first began to materialize the idea of founding ràfega , more than one person asked us in surprise: " Do you really want to sell fans? " We knew that behind that question lay a genuine desire to protect us. After all, fans aren't usually on many people's wish lists.
But yes, we were sure. Very sure.
From the beginning, we understood that it wasn't just about selling an object, but about reclaiming the fan as a handcrafted piece . We wanted to highlight its historical and cultural value in Spain and pay homage to the country we now call home.
At every trade show, in every conversation with those who visit us or write to us, we repeat it: one of the reasons that drove us was the realization that when people think of the Spanish imaginary, the fan usually comes up. However, few people could name a brand associated with it.
We want to change that.
Our dream has always been that when someone thinks of fans, they think of ràfega . And we know that achieving this requires more than just a good marketing strategy: we need an exceptional product.
That's why we're obsessed with finding the finest artisans, who create fans by hand, using fine materials and with a unique sensibility to achieve the combination of elegance, tradition, and that avant-garde touch we strive to imbue each design.
And we did it! After knocking on their doors, learning about their products, their history, and their way of working, today we can say we work with the finest artisans.
Today, looking back, we can only feel pride and gratitude. It has been an intense year, full of learning, challenges, and achievements we never imagined at the beginning:
- Our fans are already in homes in different countries across Europe.
- We've become the most-followed fan brand on Instagram in Spain.
- We've handled hundreds of orders with only one return.
- We participate in fairs where our work is valued and recognized.
- We strengthened our relationship with those who bring our fans to life: our artisans.
- We consolidate a brand faithful to the values with which ràfega was born.
Thank you for joining us this first year. Thanks to you, we can confidently say we want to have a fan business and, above all, we can say that this is just the beginning.
